Industry Involvement

Ad-ID is a Principal Member and a member of the Board of Directors of the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA). AMWA's mission is to lead the media industry worldwide in developing and advancing the use of standards and technology that enable more effective networked media workflows.

Ad-ID is a Leadership Circle member and serves on the Board of Directors of the PLUS Coalition (PLUS). PLUS is an international non-profit standards organization for all industries involved in creating, distributing, using and preserving images. The PLUS Coalition provides industry standards and tools that simplify and facilitate the communication and management of image rights.

SMPTE Sustaining Member
Ad-ID is a Bronze level Sustaining Member of The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) which was founded to advance theory and development in the motion imaging field. Today, SMPTE serves its members with the latest technology information and education on a rapidly changing industry. SMPTE also is an accredited and globally-respected industry standards-setting body.

Ad-ID is a Strategic Partner in XMP-Open which is an industry initiative to advance XMP as an open industry and promote widespread adoption and implementation. Adobe XMP provides a standard XML envelope for metadata, defines an easy-to-implement subset of RDF and specifies the mechanism for embedding metadata into each media asset type. XMP-Open will provide a forum for media asset owners to develop educational materials, case studies, use case scenarios and extended functional requirements for XMP in the future.
