Clearcast in the U.K. has established a new portal called Media Central for advertisers and agencies that need help navigating the world of video ads. One of the most useful features is the page showing copy numbering systems around the world. Clearcast is adding more countries on a regular basis.

1. Will we get email notifications when an account is running low on credits?

Answer: By default, accounts are not set up to receive notifications. The account Administrator has the ability to turn on notifications for when an anniversary date is approaching or the balance is running low. Administrators have the ability choose the frequency and balance amount for these notifications.

2. Can I view which invoices are paid and which are not on the system?

In the July 2016 Ad-ID Newsletter, Harold Geller discussed the benefits of ATSC 3.0 to the advertising community. Ad-ID is the industry standard for identifying advertising assets, and the Verance watermark, specified for use with systems conforming to the ATSC 3.0 “Next-Gen TV” family of standards, is an open architecture audio watermarking and impression data exchange offering an ideal complement for advertisers looking for greater transparency and accountability.

Ad-ID and the IAB Tech Lab have jointly published a white paper, “Five Use Cases for Video Ad Serving,”  that demonstrates the importance of including Ad-ID as a registry value inside the UniversalAdId element in VAST 4.0. The white paper includes a collection of scenarios that focus on why the IAB TechLab-required Universal Ad ID —which provides a unique creative identifier and maintains it across all platforms — is important for tracking ad creative. The use cases also show how Ad-ID serves that role in the U.S. market.

Debbie Douglas is a busy woman. As broadcast traffic manager at The Martin Agency, Douglas spends part of her day assigning identification codes to the thousands of ads the agency produces annually. It’s just a smaller part of her day than it used to be.

The Martin Agency uses Ad-ID as the platform to uniquely register every single ad asset — broadcast, print, and digital — they produce for all clients, which include Oreo and GEICO. Douglas says it’s so much faster to generate identifying codes with Ad-ID than the older, manual method of ISCI coding.

1. When creating multiple codes, can you create a mixture of different media types, such as some radio and some TV?

Answer: No, the multi-code creation feature does not allow you to create multiple media types. If you need multiple TV codes and multiple radio codes, you will need to do them separately.

2. There is incorrect billing information on the invoice I received from Ad-ID. How do I fix that?
